If the tariff war continues, we are ready to help. How and in what way, we will discuss this with the minister of finance," Anusic told reporters at the Adriatic Sea Defense and Aerospace exhibition that opened here on Tuesday."They said they could overcome it for now, and we have expressed our readiness, willingness and desire to help our industry," Anusic said.U.S. President Donald Trump (Rear) delivers remarks on "reciprocal tariffs" at the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, D.C., the United States, on April 2, 2025. (Xinhua/Hu Yousong)According to Croatian economic analysts, Croatian exports to the United States stands at 587 million euros (631 million U.S. dollars) a year, which is less than 10 percent of Europe's total exports to the country. However, for Croatian citizens, U.S. tariffs will bring further price increases for imported goods such as computer components.Amid widespread opposition, Trump signed an executive order last week on the so-called "reciprocal tariffs," imposing a 10-percent "minimum baseline tariff" on all imports and higher rates on certain trading partners. On Monday, European stocks sank for a fourth straight session and the S 500 extended its losses for a third day fuelled by concerns over U.S. tariffs.
